aMarketforce, (previously an SBU of V-Soft, Inc.) was founded in 2002 by four
Silicon Valley professionals, each having more than twenty-five years of work experience in the Bay Area.
The key differentiator they bring to the table is their commitment to Customer Partnerships. The founders also have substantial histories working with offshore centers located at Bangalore, Pune, and Ahmedabad in India.
Mr. Ashwin Vora
Founder
Seasoned entrepreneur with years of successful experience in outsourcing services, operations, strategic planning, and
engineering. MS in Engineering from Stanford University, MBA from University of Santa Clara. Mr. Ashwin Vora also has a
BS in Engineering from India where he was awarded four gold medals for the best grades in the State.
Mr. Vora founded aMarketForce in 2002 with the vision of providing high quality process support services to US
customers using resources from India. Mr. Vora's focus on building customer relationships based on providing superior
services has led to aMarketForce's rapid growth. The company now enjoys a reputation for providing excellent offshore
services to its US clients.
Prior to founding aMarketForce and V-Soft, Inc., Mr. Vora was the General Manager of GenRad Corporation's California
division, where he turned around the failing division by reducing expenses, increasing market share, and increasing gross
margins thus increasing profits. Mr. Vora managed large global operations for GenRad and headed several product
development and engineering teams. Before his stint at GenRad, Mr. Vora was with Royco Instruments, Inc. doing product
development from concept through engineering and with Ingersoll Rand where he did project management.
Dr. John R. Manning
Co-founder
Experienced in consultancy and strategic planning. Dr. John Manning holds a Sc.D. and MS in Mechanical Engineering
from MIT, and a BE (with highest honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. Former faculty member at
Stanford University.
As co-founder of aMarketForce, Dr. Manning brings with him 30 years of experience operating his own business. A design
consultant, Dr. Manning has extensive experience in design and packaging of products. From the onset Dr. Manning
collaborated with aMarketForce's co-founders in developing the company strategy, participated in customer presentations,
and helped grow the company.
Dr. Manning has a continuing forensic mechanical engineering practice focused on safe design of mechanical equipment.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Manning was Associate Dean of Engineering and Associate Professor at Boston University, where
in addition to his teaching duties he was responsible for faculty and student relations and special projects. In his
first academic position as Assistant Professor at Stanford University, he taught engineering design and supervised
doctoral research students. Dr. Manning has also worked for the Aerospace Systems Division of RCA Corporation and for
companies in India.
Dr. Arun Shah (1950 - 2004)
Co-founder
Experienced in business management, product development, and managing high performance teams, Dr. Arun Shah was one of
the founders of aMarketForce and the vision behind its success.
Dr. Shah had an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He had a BS from IIT/Delhi, India
where he graduated with the academic gold medal. As a co-founder, Dr. Shah participated in developing the concept, the
vision, and the strategy behind aMarketForce and actively contributed in building partnerships and customer
relationships.
Dr. Shah was Vice President of Engineering and Product Development at iSpring Corporation, a Silicon Valley startup,
where he led his team in developing cutting edge technology for the supply chain industry. Prior to that, Dr. Shah was
Executive Vice President of Product Development at Brio Technology where he led high-performance engineering teams
developing business intelligence products. Dr. Shah was also Director of Mainframe Development at Amdahl Corporation
where he worked on enterprise servers and mainframe products.
Dr. Shah held several patents in both hardware and software design. As he continues to guide us in ways more than
one, we continue to realize that he is irreplaceable.
